In Australia, we have around 700 members, and are one of the largest Branches in the world. A National Secretariat provides support to local co-ordinators in each of the states and territories who in turn have the ear of the grass roots membership. The entire infrastructure is about providing direct and tangible benefits to the individuals in the field.

Do you hold a Certificate IV in Public Safety (Firefighting Supervision) or higher? The Chairman of the IFE Education Committee has confirmed that persons holding the Cert IV are eligible for entry at Technician grade (TIFireE). You then need only sit for the Graduate Fire Science paper to be granted Graduate grade (GIFireE). Click here for full details.
