The Institution of Fire Engineers, Australia, maintains a Register of Competent Persons for practitioners of fire prevention, safety, fire fighting and engineering in Australia. This is a joint project between Fire Check Consultants and The Institution of Fire Engineers Australia and is hosted on the Fire Check Server.

To be eligible for listing on this web site, an individual must present the following:

* Suitable evidence to IFE management committee of training & experience in the competency level applied for.
* Evidence of continuing professional development in the competency level applied for.
* Evidence of adequate insurance cover.
* Must be a member of the Institution of Fire Engineers.

Individuals must re-apply for listing annually.

The Register of Competent Persons is a joint project between Fire Check Consultants and The Institution of Fire Engineers Australia.
